PNC: The Luke Vailima EP

PNC: The Luke Vailima EP

Veteran New Zealand rapper Sam Hansen aka PNC is back with The Luke Vailima EP (the first in a three-part series apparently). You possibly won't find anyone more suited to spitting punchlines on this side of the Tasman than PNC. Think Royce Da 5'9" (a Kiwi version) mixed with festival ready vocals, capable of projecting out and moving thousands of people. This EP sees Sam rapping over modernised hip hop instrumentals in long-verse form, often without choruses. It also includes a dance laced number on the house tune Slow DownJonah 95 strips back the sound to just piano, and vocals and is a fitting way to close out a great EP - a reintroduction to one of the more prolific and active members in the New Zealand hip hop scene for the last ten-plus years
