RAY BLK shares 'Patience' after topping prestigious BBC Sound of 2017 list
Eyes are on South London singer RAY BLK who was recently crowned first place of the BBC's Sound of 2017 list, which predicts and ranks the British artists most likely headed for success. Last year's EP Durt showcased her pop sensibility while sliding between future R&B and hip-hop styles seamlessly. Her latest release 'Patience (Freestyle)' is yet another track to add to her growing catalogue of catchy yet honest and self-reflecting songs, which are resonating with women (particularly) around the world.
If some of the previous BBC Sound Of winners' careers are any indication of what to go by (Adele, Ellie Goulding, Haim, Sam Smith) then RAY BLK could be set for a huge year, as she looks to fully introduce herself to the world in the form of a debut album. Based off the evidence she's already shown in crafting extremely popular songs in the UK and abroad, this could be the year she sees herself reaching big-time mainstream status.
